Review: It Girls
The new It Girls collection arrived yesterday at the plaza and I was so happy with it! I did my research and I haven't found any High Fashion versions of the clothes, the whole collection is very Street Chic, which I must say I love - it's my style in real life because I'm broke all the time haha. I loved the collection since I saw the leopard button up shirts because they reminded me of ones I've seen on Romwe.com - probably my favorite online store ever, they have the biggest leggings section I've ever seen and they're all really original.
But after my research I found mostly all the items are from Nastygal.com, although I thought the ON 1 tee was inspired by LPD New York. Here are a few real life versions of them, even though they're not High Fashion:
Again, I guess this collection turned It Girls into one of my favorite stores at the Plaza, the prices are very reasonable, only a couple or so items in starcoins but I guess you can get a few essentials from there. Nevertheless, here are my highlights:
Did you love this It Girls collection as much as I did? Kisses!
Review: TRESS UP Queens of Pop
Along with the Queens of Pop Royalty store, came the new Tress Up collection, also inspired by the Pop Queens theme. It's a good thing for non-Royalty members to have something for themselves along with this theme because I acknowledge there are a lot of members who style their dolls according to existent 'Pop Stars' and celebrities of that kind. Well, regardless of my personal music preferences I think this is an overall great idea.
The hairstyles themselves, they're fairly good, they're really nicely highlighted and well made. It's hard for me personally to find a good hairstyle that'll frame my doll's face correctly, so I'll just judge the wigs for what I've seen on other dolls or mainly by how they look on the models.

The Lady Gaga hair is just a big disappointment in a way. It's pretty stylish with the ombre ends and all but in the model it's presented multicolor and when you put it on it just doesn't have any colors (sorry for the nudity in my pic haha). Although I must admit, in my opinion it's looks a hundred times better without the multicolor fiest. The Beyonce hair could be better if the back hair was full straight and the Lady Gaga I think it's pretty nice.
The two top choices for me would be the Rihanna and Nicki hairstyles. They're naturally presented in black but when you put them on with another hair color they keep amazing shadowing and highlights (they look AMAZING in orange/red). The Rihanna wig should look good on everyone because it's short and you can shape it to your face.
My highlights:

Review: Queens of Pop Royalty Store
Alright, a new Royalty store arrived at the plaza and this time the theme is 'Queens of Pop'.
First of all, let's talk about how Michael Jackson is a 'Pop Queen' haha. I must admit I'm not aware of the percentage of Stardoll members that are Royalty, and I have absolutely no idea how many of them are actually boy dolls, so I guess I'm nobody to judge, but I'd love to have seen the MJ outfit made for boys. Although I remember some kind of Michael Jackson tribute being made a few years ago, perhaps when he passed away - I have no idea if the clothes were for boys or girls, but I know for sure Mj didn't hold his jacket together with a bra haha.
On another note, I don't want to sound meticulous, but Kurt Cobain was not a Pop artist, he was a Grunge artist, and the same message goes across a couple of other artists featured in the collection that were not Pop. Nevertheless I loved Madonna's accessories, they look amazing.
Not being a Royalty member (YET) I can't buy anything but here are my highlights:
Did you like/buy anything? Who's your favorite 'Pop Queen'?
Review: Mod Market
Okay I have decided to include yet another section to the blog and that's Reviews. Because I really don't want this blog to be just a High Fashion catalog, I want it to be a fashion blog aswell. So let's go.
When I saw this store the first thing I thought was of Modcloth.com, because of the name. Was Stardoll doing a partnership with the store? Then I looked at the Mod Market picture again - of course not. Duh. The second thought was MONDRIAN. Holy Schmeggs M-O-N-D-R-I-A-N. It reminded me of perhaps the best Antidote collection that ever existed on the history of Stardoll with clothes inspired by famous paintings and sculptures. The dress looked cute on my doll but I was not 100% sure... And then I saw it - The Twiggy Painting. Oh my. Added it immediately to my starplaza wishlist and after that not many feelings happened. I like the 60s style, but I like the more Glam side of the 60s, not the Hippie stuff so much. But oh well here are the highlights of the collection for me:
What did you think of Mod Market?
